I am a 20 year old Photography Student currently studying a BA in Photographic Arts at the University of Westminster. I am currently working on a module titled 'Wall, Page, Screen' which will be documented through the use of this blog. My work, ideas and inspirations will all be found here.
The module brief is as follows:
'This module will introduce you to some of the main forms of presentation for photographic and
video art practices. You will be introduced to contemporary photographic practices of gallery
installation, artist’s book and video art production and explore the relationships between the
photographer and commissioning agencies within the contexts of gallery, publication and
screen. You will then opt for one of three production strands - Wall, Page or Screen. Focusing
on a particular strand, you will explore a range of historical precedents and contemporary
examples of practice and the appropriate production processes. You will then produce a body
of work to an open brief resulting in a fully realized 'piece' appropriate to the chosen
format/medium.
You are encouraged to consider the status of the photographic image within the wider context
of exhibition/installation (the wall), publishing (the page) and video art/short film (the screen).'
